Corrections following breast cancer surgery:

There are some instances where patients can have less than favourable results following breast cancer surgery. This is particularly evident following having breast lumpectomy for breast cancer. Sometimes patients can end up with certain deformities or a deep dent in the breast tissue. They find it unpleasant from the aesthetic and practical point of view. Often with severe deformities patients find it difficult to fit into a bra and wear certain tops.

I have a special interest in correcting and treating those types of deformities. I often use lipomodelling (fat transfer) and some volume displacement techniques where I move parts of the breast tissue around to redistribute it in a way that corrects that deformity. Patients often find very helpful and the results can make a great change to their self-confidence as well as helping them with the practical side of fitting into various clothes.
